Monsef tabbed as U16, U15 Head Coach

The Des Moines Buccaneers AAA would like to welcome Parsa Monsef to the Bucs AAA Organization. Monsef will be the Head Coach of the U16 and U15 teams.  

Last season, Parsa was an Assistant Coach with the Lone Star (NAHL) and Texas Brahmas (NA3HL). Monsef was born in Montreal, Canada before his family moved to Toronto when he was six. Growing up, Monsef played AAA hockey in the Greater Toronto Hockey League (GTHL) until junior where he for the Hamilton Red Wings, Burlington Cougars and Toronto Patriots in the Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL) and finally an alternate captain with the Stoney Creek Warriors of the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League (GOJHL).

While studying accounting in college at Hamline University and playing NCAA DIII Hockey for the Pipers from 2013-2017, Monsef began his coaching career in 2015 with the Chaska Chanhassen Hockey Association in Victoria, MN, coaching as a U15A Girls Head Coach and Bantam AA Assistant Coach respectively over the next two years. 

After graduation in May of 2017, Monsef joined NCAA Division III St. John’s University an assistant coach helping the team reach the playoffs with an 18-8-2 record. The following season, Monsef took a head coaching position with St. Cloud where his team went 18-6-1-1, winning the Northwest Division and earning WCCHA Coach of the Year.

While coaching college hockey the previous two seasons, Monsef pursued a graduate degree at St. Cloud State earning a Master of Science in Sports Psychology, focusing his studies on research in sports management and coaching, graduating in May of 2019.
